Recruitment is a tough gig - we get that!
It's not for everyone, and that's just fine, but for those of us who love the never ending 'chase', the high highs (and sometimes low lows) and ultimate satisfaction of matching client and candidate (not to mention the high earnings potential), then you should make sure you are working at a firm that understands this...
No one wants to be beaten up for not making enough telephone calls or booking enough interviews – what’s the point in this? The very best people I have worked with in the industry are those who have been nurtured, motivated, encouraged and trained properly. Those poor souls who have been fired for not calling 100 companies each and every day, either coast along from recruitment job to recruitment job, and absolutely hate every moment of their career, or end up doing something else entirely, and good for them, your career should be challenging and stimulating, not ruled by fear!
