What is your career history?
I first ventured into Sales around 9 to 10 years ago where I took on a commission only door to door role trying to get people to take up our double glazing or roof services. After the commission only role I ventured into door-to-door charity work for St John Ambulance where I had been finding people to commit to helping us fund first aid training in Schools. It was a truly eye-opening role that really does test you mentally, you come across a lot of different people and situations and not everyone is too pleased with someone knocking on their door (especially double glazing!).
After my door to door roles I then ventured into my first Estate Agency based role. Starting as Sales Negotiator which I did for just over a year before moving up to Senior Negotiator, Business Development Manager and finally moving into the Colchester Chewton Rose branch after this.
I decided to leave that company after around 3 years to move to an upcoming online Estate Agent. I started as an Account Manager before moving into a newly formed team the Move Consultants which went from a team of 3 and over time turned into a team of 70 that I was managing before I decided it was time to move on.
Why did you join Ambitious?
I had been with my previous company for 5 years and I was interested in finding an opportunity that was slightly different that would enable me to learn new skills and drive myself further forward with new experiences. After speaking to the team at Ambitious I felt like this was a perfect fit for me and really bought into the role and more importantly the people.
Why do you love the recruitment sector?
I love the fast paced environment, helping guide people to achieve their end goal and the fact that in this industry the effort you put in is reflected in what you get out of it at the other end.

I am always eager to better myself, I love a challenge and I’m extremely competitive!
Tell me a random fact about you:
Believe it or not…. my passport has been wrong for the past 10 years. I only realised a few years after I had it that it had me down as a female rather than male, but it hasn’t stopped me going abroad to several places!

I can’t say I have a favourite I love lots of different types of music from Giggs to Stereophonics!
