The first quarter of the year is done (where has that time gone?!), despite the concerns entering the new year surrounding the housing market and economy as a whole we have had our busiest Q1 ever!
The property recruitment sector is booming – 84% of all our placements were in the property sector in Q1.
On top of the rise in jobs and candidates securing new roles, we have seen an increase in salaries. On average candidates were able to get an 12% increase when moving to a new role.

The top Property job title was Property Manager (22% of all property placements), followed by; Sales Negotiator (7%), Sales Manager (3%), Branch Manager (3%), and Lettings Negotiator (3%).
The top location for property candidates was Yorkshire (47% of all property placements), followed by; the North West (28%), the North East (14%), the Midlands (9%), the South (2%), and remote roles (2%)
The average salary for property candidates ranges from £21,000 per year up to £32,000 per year on average depending on seniority, location and job role. On average property candidates were able to increase their salary by 11% when moving roles through us.

The conveyancing sector was quieter than the property sector throughout Q1, however, as we enter into the second quarter of the year we are starting to see this pick up following a successful Q1 for the property sector. The top Conveyancing job title was Conveyancer (22% of all conveyancing placements), followed by; Conveyancing Fee Earner (22%), Conveyancing Paralegal (22%), Residential Conveyancer (22%), and Senior Conveyancing Lawyer (11%)
The top location for conveyancing candidates was the South (44% of all conveyancing placements), followed by; Yorkshire (22%), the North East (11%), the North West (11%), and remote roles (11%)
The average salary for conveyancing candidates ranges from £23,000 per year up to £52,000 per year on average depending on seniority, location and job role. On average conveyancing candidates were able to increase their salary by 24% when moving roles through us.
