Residential Conveyancing Team Leader – Liverpool (flexible & hybrid)

We have an exciting opportunity for a n Conveyancer/Licenced Conveyancer to join an expanding and experienced Residential property team, based out of the Liverpool office at a leading, award-winning, and forward-thinking law firm. The team is welcoming and diverse, and the firm strongly believe that a truly effective team is the sum of its parts.

Duties

  • Manage own caseload - Work independently on all aspects of residential conveyancing fee earning work
  • Conduct regular appraisals/one 2 one’s/roadmaps with team/dea with performance management issues
  • Support Head of Department with any people management issues as and when needed
  • To ensure that the firm’s policies and procedures and those laid out by regulatory bodies such as the Solicitors Regulation Authority are complied with fully at all times;
  • To contribute towards the effective management of risk by carrying out regular risk assessments on all matters, efficient file management and by providing excellent client care;
  • Relationship manager for the online platforms (land registry, legl, lawyer checker, search acumen etc)
  • Accounts signatory
  • Complaint handler and supervisor for team members
  • To assist the team with any day to day issues that may arise on more complex transactions
  • Recruitment
  • Main contact for referrers
  • Liaising with Enquiry team in relation to any issues on file opening/allocation
  • Undertaking COT checks for my team members
  • Approving holidays etc for my team members
  • Join with team leader meetings with Deputy Heads and Head of Department to discuss department issues/developments/progress
  • Help to formulate agendas for full department meetings and help facilitate and deliver these meetings

You

  • You will need to be a qualified solicitor, CILEX qualified or a Licenced Conveyancer
  • You will need a good understanding of the SRA Code of Conduct and other regulatory requirements
  • Have proven track record of providing proactive, consistent, and efficient client services
  • At least three years’ experience of working within a busy conveyancing team
  • Team management experience
