Quantity Surveyor – Wakefield

Duties
- Effectively deliver a professional standard in relation to Quantity Surveying, Project Management and Contract Administration across a variety of projects
- Support the development of the QS department in project delivery to meet clients’ expectations and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget
- Attend initial client meetings, understand, and develop the clients briefs from these meetings and subsequent instruction
- Undertake measurement / take off to input into feasibility estimate and cost plans
- Adopt rigorous cost control and report on cost movements and why they have occurred
- Work alongside the design team in developing value engineering proposals and developing best value for the client
- Undertake pre-tender estimate and report on movement on costs, review tenders and provide critical analysis and recommendations / reporting to the Client
- Post contract cost control, reporting and maintaining budgets
- Attend site and undertake monthly valuations
- Monitor and manage cash-flow to report to the client
- Assist the team in the training and development of graduate / assistant surveyors towards RICS (or equivalent)
- Ensure all billing activities are undertaken and track payments including disbursements and other costs to the business
You
- Degree in Construction Related field
- RICS Accreditation
- Experience working across various sectors and on a variety of projects
- Experience of working on new build and refurbishment projects throughout the entire project lifecycle
- A solid understanding of pre-contract services with proven delivery
- Evidence of continued professional development
