JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you an experienced Property Manager looking for your next big challenge? Are you based in or around Catterick? Don’t want to work weekends? With a great basic salary, this Property Manager role could be the one for you!

 

Our client, a well established Estate Agents covering North Yorkshire and the North East, are looking for an experience Property Manager to join their busy and friendly team in their Catterick branch.

 

The Job

·       Respond promptly and appropriately to communication from Tenants, Landlords and Contractors

·       Liaise with Tenants, Landlords and Contractors regarding any arising property maintenance issues and repairs

·       Carry out inspections

·       Liaise with the Accounts department in respect to any rent arrears

·       Liase with the Tenants to ensure payments are made promptly and update Landlords

·       Chase arrears where necessary

·       Liaise with Contractors, Tenants and Landlords to ensure all statutory certificates are in place and renewed as necessary

·       Organise schedules of conditions/inventory

·       Prepare Assured Shorthold Tenancy Agreements

·       Meet the Tenants and/or Landlords at the property to carry out the check in appointment, including taking meter readings

·       Write to and liaise with utility companies and local authorities in relations to the new tenant occupation

·       Service of notices to end tenancy agreement on behalf of landlords

·       Check validity of notices served by Tenants and provide advice to Landlords

·       Liaise with Landlords and Tenants over departure dates

·       Carry out check out inspections, including taking meter readings and creating a check out inventory when necessary

·       Provide advice to Landlords and liaise/negotiate with Tenants and the Deposit Protections Service in regard to any deposit disputes

·       Ensure all administration, paperwork and filing to support the above is carried out as per the Residential Lettings Procedures

·       Provide out of hours emergency contact as and when required and agreed

 

The Person

·       You must be an experienced Property Manager with experience within an estate agents, 12 months minimum

·       You must have high levels of attention to detail

·       You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       You can quickly and easily build rapport and maintain ongoing client relationships

·       You will have a strong geographical knowledge of the area

·       You must hold a clean UK driving licence and have your own car

 

The Reward

 

·       £20,000 basic salary

·       Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm

·       NO WEEKENDS

·       Immediate start available
