Project Quantity Surveyor – Nelson
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual looking to continue and develop a career in Quantity Surveying at a well-established and respected construction company.
With the recent acquirement of large new contracts with some high profile clients, the company is going through a period of continued expansion and are now looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to join their expert team.
Duties
- In this role you will be both site and office base, looking after all commercial aspects of the projects
- Manage all post-contract financial aspects
- Agree monthly Valuations with Client’s Agent
- Negotiate and agree any variations to contract with Client’s Agent
- Manage and apply for extensions of time to the Contract as required
- Manage and track sub-contract procurement process
- Subcontract Valuation assessments, payments, and final account
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Clients and Sub-contractors
- Generally running around 4 projects at any one time
You
- Minimum of 3-5 years of up-to-date knowledge and experience in new build/refurbishment projects
- Ability to meet project objectives within designated constraints
- Happy to travel around the Northwest – the role is site and office-based looking after all commercial aspects of the projects
- Hold a full driving licence
- You must have a varied knowledge and skill set across the Construction Industry and candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage several projects at any given time with values between £2m – £10m
