Engineer – Leeds

We are keen to speak to Engineers who have a background within civil Engineering. Ideally this will be in residential property construction but not essential.
Duties
- Run a number of housing developments Management of developments from game plan through to Game Plan Live and during construction
- Work closely and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Appoint and manage external consultants to complete road and sewer and foundation designs
- Check of the above designs to ensure they are feasible to construct, cost effective, meet regulatory approvals and where relevant, satisfy the sales department and customers in terms of aesthetic requirements
- Secure technical approval for road and sewer designs
- Acquire section 38, 104 and 278 agreements that are necessary for developments
- Liaise with external consultants and contractors
- Co-ordinate and oversee all pre-construction engineering activities on sites including remediation, earthworks and road and sewers
- Negotiate, procure and coordinate utility contracts
- Source street lighting designs and liaise with the Commercial team
- Site reviews
- Liaise with local authority planning and building control departments and NHBC to discharge development conditions
- Issue drawings and information to the relevant internal departments and external parties
- Deliver value Engineering process and information to secure site start dates in line with the business plan
- Ensure all consultant outputs are utilised, meet quality standards and timescales
- Undertake external works and plot drainage design
You
- MEng, BEng or HNC in Civil Engineering - essential
- Industry experience of working on residential housing estate developments - desirable
- Ability to undertake feasibility and technical studies - essential
- Ability and experience using AutoCAD - essential
- Full UK driving licence - essential
- Previous experience of designing road and drainage schemes in accordance with S38, S278 and S104 agreements is desirable - desirable
On Offer
- Annual salary of £40,000 to £55,000 (depending on experience)
- Group bonus
- Company car/ annual car allowance (£4500 and £6200 depending on experience)
- Hybrid role with time split between office, home and site
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours a week, 8:15am – 4:45pm
